Strategic campaign in development

The strategic campaign is being built to give the tactical battles a larger purpose.

The planned campaign structure uses weekly planning turns followed by daily impulses. During planning, players and AI nations prepare orders. During execution, fleets move, contacts are detected, convoys may be attacked, ports may be blockaded, and battles can be generated.

Planned strategic systems include:

  • Fleet creation and mission assignment.
  • Port management.
  • Naval warehouses and trade warehouses.
  • Raw material sources and production facilities.
  • Ship construction, recommissioning, repair, and In Ordinary status.
  • Trade offers, buy orders, reserved cargo, and convoy pickup.
  • Sea zones, strategic hex movement, and route planning.
  • Diplomacy, letters of marque
  • Sighting, fog of war, interception, and battle generation.
  • Battles resolution in several modes: manual, auto, tactical game system
  • Nation-specific objectives and victory conditions.
